Quality Service through Education & Training

The Cherry Hill Police Department Training Unit is responsible for ensuring the officers of the Department receive the finest training available. The officers attend biannual in-service classes for updates as required by law, and to enhance their skills. Numerous officers from the Department have been selected as instructors at the Camden County College Police Academy to help mold future police officers. The Cherry Hill Police Department believes this high standard of training allows the Department to provide the highest level of service to the Township.

The Training Unit also is responsible for leading the recruiting process. They strive to find the finest candidates for full and part time police officers, dispatchers, and civilian support staff. After an employee is hired, they must pass a rigorous field training program.
