Road Maintenance Program progresses; several Township streets to be repaved next week

Cherry Hill Headlines Posted on August 25, 2016

Road work is progressing across Cherry Hill as part of the 2016 Road Maintenance Program, with construction set to begin in the coming weeks on several Township streets.

-- Work will begin on or about Monday, Aug. 29, on Garwood Place (Astor Drive to terminus); Granville Road (Randle Drive to East Gate Drive); and Longfellow Drive (Burnt Mill Road to Eaton Way)
-- Work will begin on or about Tuesday, Sept. 6, on Ashley Court (Chaucer Place to Longfellow Drive) and Kipling Road (Walt Whitman Blvd. to Longfellow Drive).

Scheduled improvements include a complete mill and overlay of the road surface, as well as isolated concrete repairs where tripping hazards exist.

Bus pick-ups and trash collection should remain undisturbed; the contractor will notify nearby residents if parking will be affected for any period of time.

This year's Road Maintenance Program calls for the reconstruction of parts of 56 local roads, and is a significant investment meant to preserve our quality of life, support public safety, and ensure our neighborhoods remain robust, vibrant places to live.
