Emergency gas line work is being performed along Route 70 in the Barclay Farms area, from Monday morning, February 12, 2018 and continuing 24/7 through the afternoon rush hour tomorrow, Tuesday, February 13.
This work is being performed at the intersection of Rt. 70 and Kingston Drive / West Gate Drive. Both inside lanes will be taken out by PSE&G workers, shifting traffic onto the shoulders in each direction in order to keep two lanes moving each way.
Additionally, left turns and straight-across travel at the intersection will be impossible due to work equipment occupying the entire intersection. Only right turns onto Rt. 70 will be possible from each of these side streets during the work period.
Expect significant delays around this area of Rt. 70.
