About

Council Member Jill Hulnick is committed to using her leadership experience across the business, non-profit and government sectors to keep Cherry Hill moving forward.

An independent consultant, Jill works with organizations to develop and implement strategic plans, strengthen operations, and foster engagement. With more than 20 years of senior-level experience, she partners with boards, executives, and diverse stakeholders to improve performance through strategic planning, workforce design, and operational improvement. Earlier in her career, Jill served as the Assistant Deputy Commissioner at the New Jersey Department of Education, where she authored the New Jersey, Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) plan.

Jill is known for her ability to work across systems and with diverse stakeholder groups, including volunteers, community partners, and staff at all levels. She brings practical experience engaging constituents, balancing complex viewpoints, and facilitating consensus to her role as a Councilwoman in Cherry Hill Township, where she collaborates with residents, civic groups, and municipal leaders on budgeting, policy, and cross-department operations. This experience has strengthened her ability to build trust, navigate differing viewpoints, and lead groups toward practical, shared solutions.

Jill is an active community volunteer, who serves on the Jewish Federation’s Planning and Visioning Committee and the Jewish Community Foundation’s Grantmaking Committee. She and her family also volunteer at the Jewish Relief Agency, delivering food to families in need, and Jill is proud to be a soccer mom.

She is a graduate of Tufts University and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Jill and her husband, David, have a school-aged son and live in Cherry Hill’s Willowdale neighborhood.
