Michele joined Cherry Hill Township Council in 2019 and currently serves as Vice President. A 30-year Cherry Hill resident, Michele and her husband Curt have raised two children in the township, both of whom attended Stockton Elementary School, Beck Middle School, and Cherry Hill High School East.
Michele has been a prominent community leader in Cherry Hill for over two decades. She is a past president of Temple Beth Sholom in Cherry Hill and worked extensively in the areas of budget, governance, strategic planning, and community engagement. Michele is also a past president of Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Southern New Jersey, and a current member of its Advisory Council. Michele has served as a board member of the non-profit Uplift Solutions, helping to support businesses and local government in creating sustainable access to healthy, fresh foods in underserved communities. She has been a volunteer for the non-profit Work Group, conducting mock interviews and reviewing resumes of students in need to enable their success in the job market. She is a past member of the Cherry Hill Planning Board, past co-chair of the Cherry Hill Human Relations Advisory Council, and a current member of the Cherry Hill Library Board. Michele’s work in social and human services within the non-profit sector has instilled in her a deep passion and desire to help others become their best selves and live their best lives independently.
Professionally, Michele is an attorney. She practiced employee benefits law at Ballard Spahr in Philadelphia for 35 years. She currently works at the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey, leading their incubator think tank to research, develop, and launch new programs and services for the community. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland and the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.
