ADDENDUM #1 HAS BEEN ISSUED AND MAY BE DOWNLOADED FREE OF CHARGE BELOW. THE BID OPENING DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO: MARCH 13, 2026, 11:00 A.M. PREVAILING TIME. THE ADDENDUM AND THE ADDENDUM ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM IN THE SPECIFICATIONS MUST BOTH BE SIGNED AND INCLUDED WITH SUBMISSION. FAILURE TO INCLUDE BOTH SIGNED DOCUMENTS WILL RESULT IN REJECTION OF SUBMISSION.

THIS CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED AS AN OPEN-END CONTRACT. THE MINIMUM AND THE MAXIMUM QUANTITIES FOR EACH ITEM ARE AS STATED BELOW. VENDOR WILL BID ON A QUANTITY OF ONE (1) FOR EACH TREE/SHRUB/EVERGREEN.

  1. Scope of Work    The Vendor shall supply trees as selected and or tagged by the Municipalities designated representative.
  2. Nursery Location : Plants shall be top quality specimens that are nursery-grown at locations within 200 miles North or 500 miles South of Cherry Hill, NJ. 
  3. Time of Completion   The digging of the trees for either spring or autumn shall be completed in a period of 10 calendar days following receipt of the Municipalities representatives of notification to proceed.
  4. Tree Quality    Unless otherwise specified, trees shall be first class nursery-grown representatives of their normal species and varieties.  They shall have average or normal, well-developed branches, together with vigorous root systems.  All trees shall be free from insects, diseases, sunscald, knots, stubs, or other objectionable disfigurements.  Thin, weak trees will not be accepted.  Trees must show appearance of normal health and vigor in strict accordance with these specifications.   All trees shall be true to their name as specified.   All trees must meet American Standard for Nursery Stock ANSI Z60.1-2014 specifications.  
  5. Ball Condition  All plants shall be provided with the root ball wrapped in chemically untreated burlap, and shall be dug with a sufficient quantity of earth, taken equally on both sides and bottoms of the plants, to include the necessary roots to ensure growth.  (Hand-packed root balls will not be accepted.)  The thickness of depth of the balls shall be sufficient to include the depth of the roots according to specie.  The balls shall be prepared in a workmanlike manner and firmly bound with hemp twine; chemical treated or nylon binding twine will not be accepted.    Width relation to the height and trunk diameter of the plants, the top diameter of the balls of earth must be equal or greater than those that are standard for the industry.
  6. Inspection and Tagging  The Department/municipality reserves the right to tag and inspect all plants.  All plants will be subject to inspection upon pickup of trees.  The Department/municipality reserves the right to reject any trees that do not meet the specifications of this bid.  All trees shall be tagged and clearly marked with their Botanical or common name upon Pickup.
  7. All pricing listed below, should be considered as customer “PICKUP” 

8. There is also one (1) Option outside of the tree pricing, which is for the delivery of the trees.
