[ARCHIVED] A Statement from Mayor Susan Shin Angulo, Council President Dave Fleisher, Police Chief Robert Kempf

A Statement from Mayor Susan Shin Angulo, Council President Dave Fleisher, Police Chief Robert Kempf

In light of the recent attack on Israel and the subsequent increase of concerns from the public, we want to reaffirm our commitment to the safety and security of our residents.  At this time, there are no known or active threats specific to Cherry Hill Township.   However, out of an abundance of caution, you will see an increase in police presence at our schools, places of worship, and throughout the community.  These patrols are in addition to our existing police presence in our community.

The Police Department is in regular communication with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as our schools and civic organizations regarding security matters.  The township is prepared to allocate the necessary resources wherever and whenever necessary.

As always, we encourage residents who observe suspicious activity to contact the Cherry Hill Police Department Dispatch by calling (856) 665-1200 or in an emergency by simply dialing 911. Tips can also be submitted anonymously by emailing tips@cherryhillpolice.com or clicking on the following link https://local.nixle.com/tip/alert/7196358. Information can also be sent by texting TIP CHERRYHILLPD followed by your message to 888777.

Our commitment as elected leaders, and the mission of the Cherry Hill Police Department remains, as always, to serve and protect all those who reside, work or visit our beautiful and diverse township.
