[ARCHIVED] CHFD Firefighter Hiring Prep Class

The hiring process for full time Firefighter/EMT is currently underway!  The CHFD will be hosting a ZOOM WEBINAR ON TUESDAY, APRIL 5, 2022 at 7:00 PM for the purpose of explaining and providing all interested with an overview and explanation of the testing components. The webinar will serve to help applicants in the preparation for the remaining portions of the hiring process. This webinar is applicable to those who have already completed the computer testing process through NTN, those currently scheduled to test, and/or those that are still considering beginning the testing process.

 

The main topics will include:

 

  • General Overview and proposed timeline of the testing process.
  • Overview of the requirements for completing the computer testing component with National Testing Network. (Please note that there will be no preparation tips, or test information regarding the computer testing portion. This test preparation is offered through NTN on their website.)

  • Physical Agility Test Overview – this portion will review the components and stations included in this second phase of our testing process. The requirements for successfully completing this course will be reviewed and presented.

  • Basic information about the Interview and final steps of the hiring process
