Dear Kingston Resident,
I am excited to announce that the demolition of the shuttered Kingston Swim Club will commence on or about January 03, 2023.
As part of our continued commitment to enhancing recreation in Cherry Hill, this project consists of the removal of the two pools, the pool equipment building, small shed, dead and dying trees, and all miscellaneous amenities such as the basketball courts, shuffleboard area, outdoor grill, etc. Please note that the pavilion, clubhouse structure and parking area are to remain. In addition, this project provides remediation of the existing soils around the pool area. The final result of this construction project will be the completion of an open grassed, passive and safe recreation area behind the clubhouse.
During the period of construction, residents may experience some inconvenience. The Township will do its best to minimize any such issues and the contractor is required to adhere to local noise ordinances. No work is to begin prior to 7:00am and must be complete by dusk.
If you have any questions or concerns pertaining to the demolition or impact to your property, please contact Michael Rann, Project Inspector or Danielle Hammond, Contract Administrator. They can be reached at (856) 424-3203 during normal working hours.
My administration, along with Council, continue to prudently invest in our town’s recreation amenities and green space. These investments preserve our unique quality of life and make Cherry Hill a great place to live. Our recreation facilities makes our neighborhoods robust, vibrant and a place where the community can enjoy a variety of activities throughout the year. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year.
Sincerely,
Mayor Susan Shin Angulo
