Adopted: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CREATION OF A PER DIEM FIREFIGHTER POSITION
WHEREAS, there exists a need within Cherry Hill Fire District #13 in the Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey to create a paid position entitled Per Diem Firefighter; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioners of Fire District #13 have determined that they are desirous of creating said position; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Fire Commissioners, District #13, Township of Cherry Hill, County of Camden, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The position of Per Diem Firefighter is hereby established.
2. The salary, benefits, and terms and conditions of employment for this position shall be determined by the Commissioners and as otherwise mandated by New Jersey statutory law.
3. The Per Diem Firefighter shall undertake any and all responsibilities and administrative obligations relative to the Fire District, as determined necessary by the Commissioners.
4. The Per Diem Firefighter shall be under the supervision of the Commissioners as designated by the Commissioners pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:14-81.
5. This resolution shall take effect following final adoption and publication pursuant to New Jersey statutory law.
NOTICE is hereby given that the above resolution was introduced upon first reading at a regular meeting of the Commissioners held on August 6, 2020 and will be considered for final passage at a regular meeting held on September 3, 2020 at 7 pm, 1100 Marlkress Road, Cherry Hill, New Jersey at which time and place any person wishing to be heard shall be given the opportunity.
