Promotional Ceremony
Chief Ostermueller is proud to announce the promotion of 11 dedicated members of the Cherry Hill Police Department. Mayor Fleisher administered the Oath of Office to the following officers: Jordan Hutnik, Matthew Tilton, Geoffrey Byrne, and Timothy Sost — promoted to the rank of Detective Daniel Lyons, Dennis Moore, Anthony Amato, Vincent Kaulinis, Christine Towne, and Gerald Gares — promoted to the rank of Sergeant Christopher Hendy — promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.
Award of Valor Recipient
Sergeant Anthony Amato was honored with the Meritorious Community Service – Individual Award at the Awards of Valor ceremony for his leadership of the Multi-Agency Police Peer Support Program.
Cherry Hill Police Department's K-9 Unit
The Cherry Hill Police Canine Unit has a history of honorable and distinguished service to the residents of Cherry Hill. The canine unit began its service in 1980. Currently, the Cherry Hill Police Department has five canine teams working on the street.
MLK Day of Service
Cherry Hill Police Department was proud to host our first-ever MLK Day Youth Leadership & Service Workshop, bringing together young leaders for a day of learning, service, and meaningful conversation.
Adopt a Family Holiday Event
Chief Ostermueller and members of the Cherry Hill Police Department participated in the Volunteers of America Delaware Valley Adopt a Family holiday event, hosted at the Cherry Hill Mall.
