Councilman William Carter, a 30-year resident of Cherry Hill, lives in the Township's Surrey Place East neighborhood where he raised his two daughters that attended Cherry Hill Public Schools.
As an active community member, Bill is the past Chairman and currently serves as the 2nd Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Philadelphia Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC). He is a past member of the Cherry Hill NJ School Board, the Cherry Hill NJ Zoning Board of Adjustment, the Philadelphia Construction and Transportation Board of Directors for the March of Dimes.
Councilman Carter is currently a member of the Cherry Hill Planning Board, the Mayor’s Citizens Council, and the Cherry Hill African American Civic Association.
Professionally, Bill is currently the Principal of W3C Associates consulting firm, serving a variety of commercial and residential clients in PA, NJ, and MD. He has held a number of positions in the construction industry - including some notable projects where he served as the executive in charge.
