This team consists of specialized group of officers who are qualified through specific training to carry a police service rifle while in the course of their duty. These officers respond to specific police emergencies where immediate response is necessary and offer another force option during these high risk assignments. Thus providing an increase in citizen and officer safety when dealing with armed or violent offenders.
